Conferences and the dance

Well, only a week and 2 days until we are on Thanksgiving break! Conferences this wek went really well, I was very excited to see some of your parents that I haven't met yet. it was also nice to see those that I have seen several times now.

You have all been working very hard and we need to keep that up, we only have a few more weeks before winter break and we have alot to do!! The technology is coming and we are moving into some very important units!

The dancce on Friday went well until the end. There were a bunch of people pushing one another with no where to go. People wound up being pushed to the ground and getting trampled. They did not stop even when I was shouting to stop while I tried to pick up the kids that were being squished. We need to start realizing what is going on around us or there are not going to be any more days like this. If people cannot control themselves we will not be allowed to have that many people in gym.

Technology

So, we are getting our new technology hopefully before Christmas. I am super excited to be able to use all of this with you guys and I hope you are too. As we get closer to the end of second quarter I am asking you guys to stay in school mode. I know it is an exciting time, but we really have some important stuff to get through. I hope you guys have a great weekend!

End of first quarter

Well, you all made it through the first quarter of 7th grade...congratulations!! This next quarter will be harder than the last. You will be expected to work harder and you will have more homework. In general more will be expected of you this quarter now that you are further into your 7th grade year, closer to becoming 8th graders. The website will be updated more often so make sure you keep checking it.

This week/weekend

All the classes have been doing awesome this week!! Way to pull through with the testing going on! This weekend I will be out of town and probably not online much. If you have any questions make sure you ask them before the weekend.

Parents, all students will be having homework over the weekend due Monday. If your student is in my 5/6 block they will be having a test on Tuesday, Sept 30, make sure they study with their homework!!!

Last period today

Ok guys, last period today was a little rough so I want to try doing some new stuff to maximize our time in class. Right now I am trying my best to get us working with a school in Korea and to get as much technology worked in so that class can be more exciting. If you have some ideas on how I could use technology in class-other than just showing a YouTube video-something actually related to math, let me know here or on the Wiki. I will create a discussion thread there. See you all tomorrow!
